It's always great to see artists illustrating from cute creatures fighting to death to 80's homages, all that in shocking colors, and that's just what Leon Ryan does.<!--break--> His work is pretty awesome and you should really check out his portfolio for his whole set illustrations. Dermot Boyd and Peter Cody are two architects from the UK, trained together in Dublin. After going through major offices such as John Pawson in London and Alvaro Siza in Oporto, formed in 1997 this office that is an architecture sensitive to our time without forgetting the local culture and the past.<!--break--> Dermot Boyd was born in Belfast in Northern Ireland and graduated with honors by the Dublin Institute of Technology and Trinity College Dublin in 1990. After graduating, he worked with Alberto Campo Baeza in Madrid and John Pawson in London, returning to Dublin in 1992. Irish from Tralee, Peter Cody harrowed up with Boyd in 1990 and worked in Port with the great architect Alvaro Siza until 1995 when he went to New York to do his MA at Columbia University.
The partnership between Boyd and Cody began in New York in 1997. With offices based in Dublin, produce an architecture with characteristic features of the culture of the region, both in type and material. This "communication" between architecture and its surroundings and history of cities and country that are being entered into the works, show all the quality and sensitivity of this Irish office Boyd Cody Architects. In anticipation of the Formula 1 World Championship, one designer based from Ireland decided to startup his engines and create 19 posters in 19 days. I must admit that sometimes I get really bored of design / art in general, sometimes we really need something / somebody to show us that we haven't seen everything. The art of Mia Araujo has definitely brought me back attention to fine arts, I mean, we can't deny that even if photoshop and all these softwares can simulate a lot of effects really well, beautifully done artworks using only a brush and acrylic paints will never be replacable.If you want to know more about Mia and her artworks, please access her Website or her Flickr.
