Casal de la Juventud by CrystalZoo, in Spain Posted: 16 Mar 2011 05:13 AM PDT This is a restoration of an old school in the town of Novelda, in Spain. Called Casal de la Juventud, was proposed a job for the renovation of the building and adapting to new uses and new needs of the city. <!--break--> The project by the group of architects CrystalZoo, Casal de la Juventud keep the story through the base of the building remained apparent and only being restored, and most of the renovations comes on top, wrapped with a skin of polycarbonate and beautiful color windows. The contrast is great and establishes a dialogue between each stage of the evolution of the building. This structure provides lighting, energy and information systems, that define the specific environments for all the different situations that may happen. Fantastic Photography by Sofia Ajram Posted: 16 Mar 2011 02:47 AM PDT I come across a lot of cool artists via my tumblr feed and Sofia Ajram is no exception. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a professional site or bio of any kind. All I can say about Sofia is that she takes some really amazing photos and you should definitely subscribe to her flickr feed as she posts more cool stuff. In particular, I'm a huge fan of the way she uses lighting to achieve some pretty eerie and hyper romantic shots. What do you think?
