Superb Wallpapers by Alberto Seveso Posted: 19 Jan 2011 07:37 AM PST I really don't mind changing my desktop wallpaper every time I find a gorgeous image. This time, I found a whole set of super wallpapers by designer Alberto Seveso. Do you know what ink looks like when it goes under water? <!--break--> He's got the answer for that question in this series of 6 wallpapers. I love this kind of experiment. Colors and Great Architecture, this is Central St. Giles Court Posted: 19 Jan 2011 05:45 AM PST The Central St. Giles Court is a building complex located in Camden, London. The main idea of the project is to break the concept of a simple office building and transform it into a multi usage complex with space to multiple activities. The project is a partnership among Renzo Piano and Fletcher Priest. <!--break--> The concept of bringing activities to this area was really nice, and to do that they combined restaurants, stores, offices and even residential spaces in one location. The buildings have colorful facades and form a beautiful contrast with London's grey landscape. Another interesting thing about this project was that the buildings were elevated in 6m to invite people to walk through it, to participate. Original Typographic Artwork by SerialCut Posted: 19 Jan 2011 05:03 AM PST I believe we all, designers, love typography, it's much more than choosing the right typeface it's all about understanding and playing with the layout and fonts in order to solve a communication problem the best way possible. There is also those who mix typefaces and funny ideas to come up with very original results such as the guys over at SerialCut. Serial Cut is a Madrid based studio, established in 1999 by Sergio del Puerto, working on a wide variety of worldwide projects, but focussing mainly on Art Direction. Check out some really cool projects with very interesting usage of types. Image and type are a great combination that we like to use on all the projects we work on. Typography plays an important role in the end product. Inspiration comes from current and past decades, but we always review it and renew it, bringing it into today's perspective with an actual look. Outstanding Game Trailers Posted: 18 Jan 2011 11:37 PM PST Nowadays, it seems that videogames and movies are becoming more and more similar in some aspects. Movies are getting more interactive, with all these 3D effects and other inventions that were done lately. And videogames are getting more and more theatrical, with better stories, better graphics and outstanding trailers. Being a huge video games addict, I though a post about game trailers would be an awesome idea, so I collected some recent (and not so recent) game trailers that just blew my head off, I hope you guys agree with this collection and comment what you think is the best game trailer.
